Jewish Family Service Hosts Year-End Friends Campaign | Brigantine

As the final days of 2021 approach, many families, friends and other community members continue to feel the effects of the uncertain economy and environment. Whether it’s underemployment or unemployment, anxiety, stress or depression, or needing food and shelter assistance, at the Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) , we continue to be here to help.

Each year we run the JFS Friends Campaign which gives our agency the opportunity to provide assistance, programs and services to residents across our county. With a goal of $ 35,000, we are currently at $ 16,045 and we need your strong support.

In the first nine months of 2021, JFS provided 7,194 families with essential nutritional support through the pantry, 2,349 in-person counseling and telehealth to adults, adolescents and children, and provided a housing assistance for 450 former homeless people. At JFS, we are committed to helping everyone who walks through our doors.

When you consider your donation, know that every dollar raised helps. For example, $ 36 will help feed a family through our pantry, $ 50 will offset the cost of a counseling session for an anxious person, $ 100 will provide a month of kosher meals for an elderly person staying at home, 250 $ provide emergency shelter for a family who might otherwise be homeless.
